Bloomberg News slammed for ‘hit piece’ on Sanders, Warren despite vow not to investigate 2020 Democrats

Bloomberg News was taking heat Monday over what has been described as a “hit piece” about 2020 Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., despite the outlet’s controversial vow not to investigate the rivals of Bloomberg owner Michael Bloomberg, who is also running for president.

Last month, Bloomberg News drew criticism after its editorial board announced it would not investigate its CEO, who had just entered the 2020 race, nor any of his Democratic competitors in order to be “fair” to the candidates. But Monday’s report about the Sanders and Warren campaigns relying on Amazon — contradicting both candidates’ past attacks against the tech giant — had critics aiming anew at Bloomberg News.
